Terms of Use
Effective date: October 31, 2026
Agreement
Nelumi is an app for iPhone and iPad from Nadelos, the studio that publishes the apps. By downloading or using Nelumi you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies except where these terms say otherwise. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Nelumi is, and is not
Nelumi turns your own devices into a baby monitor: one stays in your baby's room as the baby station and listens for crying, and your phone or iPad lets you hear and see the room and alerts you. It also has a contraction timer and a kick counter for pregnancy.
Nelumi is not a medical device. It does not monitor breathing, heart rate or any other vital sign, and it does not diagnose, prevent or treat any condition. The contraction timer and kick counter help you keep notes; they are not medical advice. Follow the guidance of your midwife or doctor, and contact them or emergency services whenever you are worried.
Nelumi does not replace supervision. It depends on things outside our control: your Wi-Fi, the distance and walls between devices, battery and charging, iOS settings and updates, and the sounds in the room. An alert can come late or not at all, and a connection can drop. Nelumi warns you when it loses touch with the baby station, but a warning can be missed too. Keep following safe sleep advice and check on your baby in person.
Nelumi Monitor subscriptions and purchases
The contraction timer and kick counter are free. Nelumi Monitor unlocks the baby monitor. It is sold through the App Store, and its subscriptions follow Apple's terms:
- Nelumi Monitor is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly; the yearly plan may start with a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices, billing periods and any trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- It is bought on the parent's device. The baby station never needs a purchase of its own.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
Use Nelumi to watch over your own child or a child in your care. You are responsible for using it lawfully. Laws on listening to and filming people differ from place to place: where other adults can be heard or seen, such as a babysitter or guests, tell them the monitor is on and get their consent where the law requires it. Do not reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Nelumi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from an alert that is late, missed or false, from a lost connection, or from decisions made in reliance on the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
